Sold Out

RAW Bulk Wholefoods

Focusing on wholefood ingredients grown, made and distributed by local Fleurieu Peninsula and South Australian small businesses, we’ll explore new research about how fermented foods, veggies, legumes and wholegrains are intricately linked to our gut health, mood and overall wellbeing.

Enjoy a flavour- and nutrient-packed afternoon tea featuring:

  • A grazing board complete with fermented macadamia cheese, Little Tin Co. marinated sardines, quick pickled apples and kohlrabi, The Gathered Bowl crackers and BROT sourdough bread.

  • Bhel puri: Mumbai's favourite street food. This combination of Indian bits and bobs and Essentials by Dirt(y) chickpeas combined with Spice Chariot Tamarind Chutney, chillies and lime is bright, fresh and unexpected. It's fun to make and puts a smile on the face of everyone who tries it!

  • Baked pumpkin & spice doughnuts with dark chocolate glaze featuring Peninsula Providore Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Fleurieu Milk Company Greek Yoghurt. These are the ultimate food for joy: everyone loves doughnuts and these beauties are simple, healthy, delicious and endlessly adaptable. (We’ll also have a GF vegan variation.)

  • All complemented by award-winning, handcrafted Wildfire Organic teas.

You’ll come away feeling informed, energised and empowered – with a stash of recipes and tips to help you shop, cook and eat in a way that embraces food as a source of joy.

Your workshop includes:

  • discussion of current research on the link between food, gut health, mood and wellbeing

  • lots of opportunities to chat and ask questions about practical ways to include more mood-boosting foods into your life and to adapt existing recipes
